Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for an exciting opportunity at a Critical Access Facility in beautiful South Dakota. This contract role is ideal for RNs passionate about long-term care and rural healthcare, offering flexibility, great pay, and the chance to explore one of the most scenic areas in the Midwest.

Location: Critical Access Hospital – South Dakota

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shifts Available:

Day or Night

3x12s or 4x12s (flexible schedule)
Setting: Long-Term Care (LTC)
Facility Type: Critical Access – small, rural hospital environment
Start Date: ASAP or upon credentialing
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care unit
Conduct resident assessments, develop care plans, and monitor ongoing needs
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient health and quality of life
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Provide support, compassion, and education to residents and families
Qualifications:
License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – State of South Dakota or Compact License
Certifications:
BLS required
ACLS preferred
Experience:
1+ year of RN experience preferred (LTC or Critical Access experience a plus)
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Compliance: Able to pass background check and drug screen
