Full-Time Surgery Clinic RN – 5x8 Day Shifts – Kansas

Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Kansas to find a Full-Time Surgery Clinic RN for 5x8 day shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated registered nurse to provide professional care in a surgery clinic setting, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.

Job Description:

• Provide professional nursing care to assigned patients in the surgery clinic setting using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and ensure patient safety.
• Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care, including wound care, medication management, and activity restrictions.
• Assist in patient assessments, taking vital signs, and providing pre-operative preparation and post-operative monitoring.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families before, during, and after procedures.
• Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, sterile, and follows infection control procedures and safety standards.
• Work as part of a collaborative healthcare team to meet patient needs and ensure the smooth functioning of the clinic.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Associate’s or Diploma Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Kansas RN license required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider or American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider required within the first 90 days of employment.

Required Experience:

• Hospital or clinic experience within the past 5 years preferred.
• Strong experience in surgical care, including pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
• Excellent patient assessment skills and the ability to provide quality care in a clinical setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
• Strong organizational skills to manage patient loads and documentation efficiently.
