Pay: 
$1570 / Week
Schedule: 5 days/week (8-hour day shifts)
Weekends: Not required, but flexible options available

A reputable long-term care facility near Abilene, Texas is seeking a motivated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its collaborative rehab team. This is a full-time travel opportunity offering hands-on clinical experience in a modern, upscale environment featuring two dedicated rehab gyms and a wide range of specialty therapy programs.

This position is ideal for recent graduates or experienced COTAs looking to expand their skills in a supportive long-term care setting. Therapists typically treat 8–12 residents per day, with a 92% productivity expectation. The standard schedule includes five 8-hour days, with the option to work one weekend day and flex a day off during the week.


Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

  • Implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents’ independence and daily function

  • Accurately document treatments using Net Health (formerly Rehab Optima) and coordinate care with PointClickCare (PCC)

  • Collaborate with therapy and nursing teams to support interdisciplinary care

  • Contribute to program initiatives such as falls prevention, incontinence management, and wound care


Specialty Programs You’ll Support

  • VitalStim® Therapy (for dysphagia)

  • Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation

  • Incontinence Management Program

  • Wound Care and Positioning Program

  • Outpatient Therapy Services

  • Falls Management and Prevention Program


Qualifications

  • Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Texas (or eligible for travel licensure)

  • New graduates encouraged to apply

  • Effective communication, organization, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to meet and maintain a 92% productivity requirement

  • Experience with geriatric populations or long-term care preferred
