We are seeking a licensed and motivated Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Austin, TX home health team. In this flexible, field-based role, you'll deliver one-on-one therapy to patients in the comfort of their homes. Whether you're looking to build your experience in home health or want a flexible part-time opportunity, this role offers both autonomy and support.

At least 10 appointments per week are available for pick-up, though you are only required to accept a minimum of 3 weekly. The position is perfect for those seeking balance, freedom, and meaningful patient interaction. Appointments are typically under an hour!

Job Responsibilities

  • EMR System: KanTime – Training provided if needed

  • Deliver high-quality physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

  • Follow established care plans and provide interventions tailored to individual patient needs

  • Assist patients in regaining mobility and physical independence through prescribed exercises and techniques

  • Accurately document all visits and report patient progress to the supervising PT

  • Educate patients and caregivers on follow-up care, safety, and therapeutic exercises

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

  • Current license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Texas

  • Home Health experience highly preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and travel to patients’ homes across the Austin area

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
