Travel Occupational Therapist – LTC Setting – Near Abilene, TX
$2,163/week | New Grads Welcome | Full-Time | Housing & Travel Stipends Available
A respected long-term care facility near Abilene, Texas is hiring a motivated Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) to join its collaborative rehabilitation team. This is a full-time travel opportunity offering a supportive clinical environment, professional growth, and exposure to innovative therapy programs in a modern, well-equipped facility.
This role is ideal for new graduates and experienced OTs alike who are passionate about helping residents regain independence and thrive. The facility features two large rehab gyms, and therapists typically treat 8–12 residents per day with a 90% productivity expectation. Enjoy a weekday schedule with the option to flex for weekend coverage if preferred.
Pay: $2,163/week (gross)
Schedule: 5 days/week (8-hour day shifts)
Weekends: Optional with flexible weekday adjustments
Job Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat residents using evidence-based occupational therapy techniques

Design and implement care plans to support functional recovery and independence

Accurately document treatment in Net Health (formerly Rehab Optima)

Coordinate interdisciplinary care using PointClickCare (PCC)
-
Participate in clinical programming that promotes long-term outcomes
-
Educate caregivers and contribute to effective discharge planning

Qualifications

Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas (or eligible for temporary/travel licensure)

Previous experience with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred
