This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed Speech Therapist to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Position Overview
The Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients, assisting the department manager in implementing departmental policies, and ensuring quality patient care. This role requires clinical expertise, proficiency in medical documentation, and the ability to handle confidential patient information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations and treatment for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct modified barium swallow studies and other diagnostic assessments
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Assist department manager with policies, procedures, and administrative tasks
- Maintain compliance with departmental standards and regulatory requirements
- Use standard office equipment and software to manage patient information
- Provide patient education and support to families and caregivers
Education and Certification Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Ohio Speech Therapist license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Prior experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred
- Experience performing modified barium swallow studies
