Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Rapid City, SD

Position Overview:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Join a supportive interdisciplinary team that values innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients of all ages

  • Deliver therapy services for a variety of communication and swallowing disorders

  • Collaborate with physicians, rehab specialists, and caregivers to maximize patient outcomes

  • Educate patients and families on exercises and home programs to support continued progress

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning

  • Stay informed on current best practices and emerging therapies in the field

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

  • Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active South Dakota SLP license or eligibility to obtain

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA – required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required

  • Experience:

  • 1+ year of clinical experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered)

  • Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills
