Job Description
As a Physical Therapist, you will help patients achieve their mobility, rehabilitation, and quality-of-life goals. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients of varying ages and conditions
- Utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve strength, mobility, and overall function
- Educating patients and families on exercises, therapy plans, and recovery expectations
- Documenting patient progress and updating treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation staff to ensure optimal care outcomes
- Promoting wellness and injury prevention through patient and community education
Education and Certification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or equivalent required)
- Active Physical Therapy license in South Dakota (or eligibility)
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- New graduates are encouraged to apply – mentorship and training available
