Connected Healthcare is seeking a Rehabilitation Manager – Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time position l in Joplin, MO. Join our acute care hospital with a 17-bed Acute Care Unit and an 11-bed Distinct Part Unit providing inpatient rehabilitation services. We are looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to lead our rehabilitation team in a collaborative and supportive environment focused on providing compassionate care to our patients.
Job Description:
As the Rehabilitation Manager, you will manage department staff, including recruitment, scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations. You will play a key role in promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment and ensuring that all patient care and safety needs are met in a timely manner. You will provide oversight and direction to your team and assist in patient care through hands-on involvement, assessments, and adaptive strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise department staff, including recruitment, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Act as a resource for team members, offering assistance and delegating tasks to ensure timely care and safety.
- Address patient, family, nursing, or physician concerns in a professional manner.
- Precept new hires and contribute to the ongoing education and development of staff.
- Promote effective communication and teamwork, assisting in conflict resolution.
- Advise patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment, compensatory strategies, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assess patient progress and update treatment plans and goals.
- Perform administrative tasks including documentation, care conferences, and patient/family education.
- Participate in the administrator on-call rotation with senior leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- State license as a Physical Therapist in Missouri.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
- 1 year of leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
