Up to $1,900/week

Position Overview
Connected Health Care, a trusted recruitment and staffing partner, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a specialized hospital near Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This assignment is ideal for RRTs who are confident working in a tracheostomy and ventilator-heavy environment and want a short-term, well-paying travel opportunity.
Job Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive respiratory care in a trach- and ventilator-heavy unit

Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
-
Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management
-
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and respiratory treatments
-
Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
-
Monitor and assess patient respiratory status and adjust care plans accordingly
-
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
-
Accurately document patient care and interventions in the EMR
-
Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based practices
Schedule & Contract Details

8-week travel assignment
-
3x12-hour shifts
-
36 hours guaranteed per week

Day or night shift availability may vary
-
Up to $1,900 per week (all-inclusive)
Education & Certification Requirements
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy
-
Active RRT credential through NBRC (required)
-
Active Missouri Respiratory Therapist license (or ability to obtain)
-
BLS required (ACLS preferred, depending on unit)
-
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in vent-dependent and trach care settings strongly preferred
