Education Requirements

  • Valid RRT license in Missouri or compact state.

Certifications Requirements

  • ACLS & BLS certifications are required.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience, ICU or Step-Down.
  • Comfortable with ventilator patients and critical procedures.

Other Requirements

  • Must Haves: ACLS & BLS, critical care experience.
  • Soft skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork.
  • Physical demands: Ability to handle high-stress situations.
  • Background checks as per facility policy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care nursing to ventilator-dependent patients in an LTAC environment.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting treatments as necessary.
  • Administer medications and interventions in accordance with physician orders.
  • Manage ventilators, IVs, and life-support equipment.
  • Document patient care accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
  • Respond swiftly to emergent situations in a high-acuity setting.
