Respiratory Therapy Director – Full Time | Havre, Montana

Position Overview

The Respiratory Therapy Director will oversee all respiratory care services, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with strong clinical expertise, management experience, and a passion for advancing respiratory care practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Respiratory Therapy Department

  • Supervise and mentor respiratory therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices

  • Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations

  • Manage budget, inventory, and equipment maintenance

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care

  • Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy technology and treatments

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and hospital regulations

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.

  • Licensure: Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential from the NBRC

  • Certification: Active state Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner License (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive respiratory therapy experience. No leadership experience required. 

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
