Travel RRT – Libby, Montana – 12 Hour Shifts – No Call
We are seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 12-hour shift position in Libby, Montana. This role is perfect for an RRT with OB experience and the required certifications. Job Description:
- Provide respiratory care for patients across a variety of units, including OB, ICU, and MedSurg.
- Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizer treatments, and intubation as necessary.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, lung function, and overall respiratory status, making adjustments to treatment as needed.
- Provide support during labor and delivery, including neonatal resuscitation, airway management, and postpartum care for mothers.
- Assist with arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement respiratory care plans for patients.
- Assess patient progress, documenting treatments and observations in the EMR system.
- Maintain a clean, sterile environment and ensure compliance with all infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient education regarding respiratory treatments and home care instructions as needed.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
- Montana state license preferred; candidates must be eligible to obtain the Montana license if not already held.
- OB experience is required, including working with neonates and obstetric patients.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of RRT experience in a clinical setting, with a strong focus on OB and neonatal care.
- Proficient in using respiratory equipment and performing advanced airway management.
- Experience working in a critical care setting (ICU, emergency, or OB) is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, particularly in high-pressure situations.
