Travel ER RRT – 12-Hour Night Shifts – Wausau, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Wausau, Wisconsin to find a Travel ER RRT for 12-hour night shifts. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) with NICU experience to provide high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Job Description:

• Provide emergency respiratory care to patients in the ER, including intubations, ventilation management, and life-saving interventions.
• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory therapies as prescribed.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis, and assist with interpretation of results to assess and manage respiratory conditions.
• Work collaboratively with the ER team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions, particularly in trauma, critical care, and neonatal emergencies.
• Document patient care, assessments, and treatments in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Maintain NICU-specific interventions and monitor neonates when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control measures, and hospital policies.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field required.
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
• NBRC RRT (National Board for Respiratory Care, Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required.
• Active Wisconsin Respiratory Therapy license required.
• NICU experience required for night shift positions.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• NICU experience required for night shifts.
• Proven ability to perform high-acuity respiratory care in emergency settings, including intubations, ventilator management, and CPR.
• Strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure in critical care situations.
