Travel Respiratory Therapist – 7p-7a Shifts – Bandon, Oregon

Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Bandon, Oregon to find a Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRTh). This is a 13-week assignment with a firm start date of 1/6, and it offers an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established healthcare setting. Job Description:

• Provide respiratory therapy services, including patient assessments, treatment planning, and intervention for a wide range of respiratory conditions.
• Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function tests, and sputum cultures.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition, reporting any issues to the physician and modifying treatment as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Document all patient assessments, treatments, and progress in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Assist with emergency respiratory procedures as needed in critical care settings.
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory care, treatment options, and disease management.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• OR Respiratory Therapist License required. Candidates must have a current OR license in hand as the facility will not accept candidates without a valid license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a hospital or critical care setting.
• Strong clinical skills in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and emergency respiratory interventions.
• Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, pulmonary function tests, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, especially during night shifts.
