Travel RRT in the ER – 12-Hour Evening Shifts – Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin to find a Travel RRT in the ER for 12-hour evening shifts. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists to work in the fast-paced Emergency Room, providing essential respiratory care to patients in critical conditions.

Job Description:

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in the Emergency Room, including emergency intubations, ventilator management, and airway management.
• Administer respiratory treatments such as nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and CPR as needed.
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation to assess oxygenation and ventilation status.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess and treat respiratory distress in patients.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments according to patient needs and changes in condition.
• Document patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory care and management.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Active RRT License required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred.
• Previous ER or ICU experience preferred.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of RRT experience, preferably in an Emergency Room or critical care setting.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations and provide rapid, life-saving interventions.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience managing respiratory emergencies.
• Proficiency in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway management techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
