Connected Health Care is partnering with a reputable healthcare facility in Wausau, Wisconsin to find a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for 12-hour day or night shifts. Job Description:

• Administer respiratory care to patients in various settings, including the ICU, emergency room, and medical-surgical units.
• Perform diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage ventilators, assist with intubations, and provide critical care for patients with respiratory failure or distress.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, techniques, and management of chronic respiratory diseases.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Document all respiratory assessments, treatments, and patient progress in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
• State licensure in Respiratory Therapy required.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Proficiency in managing ventilators, administering oxygen therapy, and performing diagnostic respiratory tests.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
