We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or CFY to join our team in the school setting. As a School-Based SLP, you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication and language development of students within our educational community. Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and formulate individualized treatment plans.
2. Provide direct therapeutic interventions to address speech and language difficulties in students, fostering improved communication skills and academic success.
3. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies that support students' speech and language needs in the classroom environment.
4. Conduct regular progress monitoring and reassessment to adjust intervention strategies and goals as needed.
5. Work closely with parents and caregivers to provide guidance, support, and resources for promoting speech and language development at home.
6. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant records.
8. Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology to enhance service delivery.
9. Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives related to communication and language development.
10. Collaborate with community resources and external service providers to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
2. Current state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
3. ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
4. Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
6. Knowledge of and experience with a variety of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
7. Ability to adapt interventions to meet the individual needs of students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices.
