This contract position offers a 36-week contract with weekly compensation up to $46/hr based on experience. Position Overview: As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will provide direct physical therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will assist in the development and implementation of therapy plans that address physical impairments and help students regain strength, mobility, and independence. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering physical therapy services to students as directed by a Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to address physical, motor, and sensory challenges.
• Track and document students’ progress, adjusting treatments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to provide comprehensive support and ensure the best care for each student.
• Help students improve their ability to perform daily activities through targeted interventions and exercises.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with school and healthcare regulations.
• Provide education and guidance to students, families, and staff on physical therapy exercises and techniques.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Must be a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of New Mexico.
• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Previous experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred but not required.
