School Psychologist – Toms River, NJ

Hourly Compensation: Up to $65/hr | Full-Time | All Grade Levels

Connected Health Care is seeking a highly motivated School Psychologist to work in a well-established school district in Toms River, NJ. This position provides a rewarding opportunity to support students' emotional well-being, learning development, and overall mental health in a collaborative educational setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct cognitive, emotional, and behavioral assessments to identify students' academic and mental health needs.

• Develop individualized intervention strategies to support students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and emotional disturbances.

• Provide counseling services to students experiencing anxiety, stress, or social difficulties.

• Assist in crisis management and de-escalation strategies to ensure student safety.

• Work closely with teachers, parents, and school counselors to create effective learning plans and behavioral interventions.

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teams to advocate for student needs.

• Train school staff on mental health awareness, conflict resolution, and classroom behavior strategies.

• Support social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives to foster a positive school environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• New Jersey School Psychologist Certification required.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.

• Experience conducting psychological assessments and interventions in a school setting.

• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and students to support mental health.

• Strong understanding of IEP development, behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and crisis response.
