Job Description
- Provide health assessments and interventions for students and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Maintain health records and document any medical concerns or incidents.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to create health plans for students with special needs.
- Monitor and manage contagious diseases and health-related emergencies within the school.
- Promote healthy habits and disease prevention through student education and wellness initiatives.
- Participate in health-related meetings and professional development.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable.
