Job Requirements
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field with a focus on special education
- Certifications Requirements: Sped certification, CPR certification, First Aid certification
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with moderate intellectual disabilities, prior experience with adaptive curricula, experience in a school setting preferred
- Other Requirements: Ability to work on-site daily, strong communication skills, ability to implement adapted curriculum and behavioral strategies

Job Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate intellectual disabilities following adapted curricula aligned with extended content standards.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behaviors, and educational activities to ensure compliance and support ongoing planning.
- Execute classroom management techniques to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and development.
- Support student assessment and participation in state-mandated alternate assessments when applicable, ensuring accurate and fair evaluation.
