As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with special needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and ability to participate in school activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
- Supporting the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management plans.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress and communicating with teachers and other staff.
- Providing physical and emotional support to help students achieve their educational goals.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for students.
- Collaborating with educators and parents to ensure the best care for students.
Education and Certification Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
