Job Description:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with autism spectrum disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions to promote student engagement and success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Pennsylvania state certification in Special Education.
- Endorsement or certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred.
- Previous experience working with students with autism is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
