Special Education Teacher – Indianapolis, IN
36-Week Contract | Up to $52/hr
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm focused on Healthcare and Educational Services, is partnering with a well-respected Educational Services client to find a dedicated Special Education Teacher near Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' learning and behavioral goals.
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet students’ needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various subjects.
- Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in special education.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Indiana Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
