Position: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (Full-time)

Location: Boulder, CO

Contract Length: August - September 2025', Covering a leave of absence. 

Compensation: Up to $60/hr based on experience

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of DHH students.

  • Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, language development, and communication skills (ASL, spoken language, or a combination).

  • Utilize assistive technologies (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM systems) to enhance student learning.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, audiologists, and other specialists to support student success.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth.

  • Educate students and staff on Deaf culture and accessibility best practices.

  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs.

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations.

  • Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in DHH education.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • All candidates must have Colorado Department of Education licenses, or be able to prove that licensure is pending.
