Position: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (Full-time)
Location: Boulder, CO
Contract Length: August - September 2025', Covering a leave of absence.

Job Description:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of DHH students.

Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, language development, and communication skills (ASL, spoken language, or a combination).

Utilize assistive technologies (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM systems) to enhance student learning.

Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, audiologists, and other specialists to support student success.

Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth.

Educate students and staff on Deaf culture and accessibility best practices.
-
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs.
-
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations.

Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in DHH education.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- All candidates must have Colorado Department of Education licenses, or be able to prove that licensure is pending.
