Job Requirements

  • Education Requirements: Valid special education teacher license
  • Certifications Requirements: Must hold a valid special education teaching license
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience working as a special education teacher
  • Other Requirements: Experience with students with autism or intellectual disabilities, ability to work onsite with middle school students, strong communication skills, background check clearance, and flexibility to work 7:15 am - 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to middle school students with autism or intellectual disabilities
  • Manage a caseload of nine students across multiple abilities programs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
