Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with mild-moderate disabilities (e.g., learning disabilities, autism, emotional/behavioral disorders).

Deliver evidence-based instruction tailored to diverse learning needs in self-contained, resource, or inclusion settings.

Collaborate with general education teachers, SLPs, OTs, and school psychologists to adapt curriculum and ensure accessibility.

Monitor student progress through data collection and adjust strategies to meet academic, social, and behavioral goals.

Foster a positive, structured classroom environment using PBIS or trauma-informed practices.

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss progress and home-school partnerships.

Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility evaluations, and professional development.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field.

Active South Carolina Teaching Certification in Special Education (Multi-Categorical or adapted licensure area).

Experience with IEP writing, progress monitoring tools (e.g., ESY), and assistive technology preferred
