Job Description

Special Education Teacher – Near Spokane, WA
Contract Length: 36 Weeks | Weekly Pay: Up to $1,875 or $50/hr (Based on Experience)
Start: August 2025 | Partnered with a Local School District

Connected Health Care, a nationwide leader in Healthcare and Educational Services staffing, is seeking a committed Special Education Teacher to support a school district near Spokane, Washington for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time contract position is ideal for educators passionate about helping students thrive in inclusive learning environments.

Position Overview
This role involves creating and implementing individualized learning plans for students with diverse needs while fostering collaboration with general education staff, families, and service providers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Adapt general education curriculum to meet student-specific needs

  • Deliver specialized instruction in a small group or 1:1 setting

  • Collect data and assess student progress toward IEP goals

  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with IDEA regulations

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and parents to ensure student success

  • Promote a safe and supportive classroom environment for all learners

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

  • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement

  • Prior experience in a school or educational setting preferred

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

Contract Details

  • Length: 36 weeks

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time

  • Compensation: Up to $1,875/week or $50/hour depending on experience

  • Support: Ongoing from Connected Health Care’s experienced education team
