Special Education Teacher – Resource (K–2) – Middletown, CT

Full-Time | $50/hr | ASAP–June 12 | Potential to Extend

Connected Health Care, a top recruitment and staffing firm in healthcare and educational services, is seeking a committed Special Education Teacher for a K–2 resource setting in Middletown, Connecticut. This full-time role begins immediately and runs through June 12, 2025, with potential continuation into the 2025–2026 school year.

Position Details

  • Location: Middletown, CT

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: June 12, 2025

  • Potential Extension: 2025–2026 school year

  • Grade Level: K–2

  • Setting: Resource Room

  • Caseload: Up to 22 students

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • Pay: $50/hr (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver small-group and individualized instruction aligned with IEPs

  • Manage IEP development, documentation, and compliance

  • Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families

  • Implement behavior strategies and academic interventions

  • Attend IEP meetings, team collaborations, and school events

Qualifications

  • Active CT Special Education Certification (e.g., Comprehensive Special Education, K–12)

  • Experience in elementary or resource settings preferred

  • Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and classroom management

  • Dedication to inclusive and student-centered practices
