Special Education Teacher
Location: Troy, Michigan
Contract Length: Remainder of the 2024-2025 School Year
Compensation: Up to $50/hr (based on experience)

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with parents, school staff, and support professionals to ensure student success.
• Provide direct instruction and interventions in accordance with IEP goals.
• Utilize innovative strategies and resources to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations.

Education and Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
