Job Requirements
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- Certifications Requirements: Valid Virginia State Teaching License with Special Education endorsement; CPR and First Aid certifications; AED certification.
- Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of experience teaching special education in a classroom setting; experience working with students with diverse learning needs; familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Other Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage classroom behavior effectively; strong organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a classroom setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to ensure student progress and success.
- Assess student performance and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, IEP updates, and incident reports as required by school policies and regulations.
