- Education Requirements: Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
- Certifications Requirements: CPR certification; First Aid certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of special education teaching experience in a school setting; Experience with elementary students K-4; Experience in self-contained classroom environments
- Other Requirements: Ability to pass background checks; Excellent communication and classroom management skills; Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and school staff

Job Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students in a self-contained classroom setting, ensuring Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals are met.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, school staff, and families to develop and implement effective educational strategies tailored to student needs.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress, behavioral incidents, and instructional plans in compliance with school policies.
- Execute classroom management techniques to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Provide assessments, progress reports, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and needs.
