Job Description
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Provide differentiated instruction to ensure all students achieve academic success.

• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Promote positive behavior and social skills in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with special education laws.

Education and Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Current South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA regulations and best practices for special education.
