Connected Health Care is working with a Medical facility in Norfolk, Virginia to recruit a Certified Surgical Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join a well-respected team and be an integral part of their organization.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide patient assistance during the surgical procedure as directed by the surgeon and nurses
• Prepare medical instruments for sterilization
• Assist in positioning, prepping, and draping of patient
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout the operation
• Maintain patient records
• Follow hospital protocols for surgery
Education & Certification Requirements:
• Certification from the National Surgical Assisting Association (NSAA)
• High School diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of two years of previous experience in a medical facility or operating room
• Ability to safely lift and manipulate instruments and supplies
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organized, reliable, and possess strong technical and critical thinking skills.
