Permanent Surgical Technologist - Laurinburg, NC

Job Description:

• Assist in surgical operations under the direct supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
• Ensure that the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and operative procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain medical instruments before and after surgery.
• Assist in the setup and use of surgical equipment, managing instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure removal from the patient and maintain a sterile environment.
• Provide technical assistance to surgeons, surgical nurses, or anesthesiologists.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide additional assistance as required during procedures.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Relevant experience in a critical access hospital setting including ED, Med Surg, and LTC.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
