- Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or vocational training preferred
- Certifications Requirements: Valid CPR certification, Orthopedic Technologist Certification (if applicable), Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician in a hospital setting; experience with orthopedic surgeries and EMR systems preferred; familiarity with sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
- Other Requirements: Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays, capacity to arrive within 30 minutes for emergent call, physical ability to stand for extended periods, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities
- Provide sterile technical support during orthopedic and general surgical procedures, ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are prepared and maintained appropriately
- Assist surgeons and medical staff with instrumentation, tissue handling, and positioning to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, instruments used, and materials involved in accordance with hospital protocols
- Collaborate with surgical team members to coordinate workflow and ensure adherence to safety standards and sterile techniques
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergent call requests, arriving within 30 minutes, and support the surgical team during extended procedures, including late calls and holiday rotations
