Teacher of the Visually Impaired - York, PA
Contract Length: 36 weeks
Compensation: Up to $65/hr based on experience

Job Description:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and other skills needed for academic success
- Adapt classroom materials and teaching methods to meet the needs of visually impaired students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning
- Conduct assessments to determine students' visual and functional vision needs
- Offer guidance and training to school staff on best practices for supporting visually impaired students
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of student progress and services provided
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or a related field
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Pennsylvania
- Proficiency in Braille and assistive technology for visually impaired students
- Experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies for visually impaired students
