Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Pflugerville, TX
Contract Length: 36 Weeks
Compensation: Up to $60/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm focused on Healthcare and Educational Services, is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our partner’s educational team in Pflugerville, TX. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Job Description:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments

  • Collaborate with general education and special education teachers to adapt curriculum

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments

  • Support students in learning Braille and the use of assistive technology

  • Travel between school sites as needed to provide direct services

  • Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or Visual Impairments

  • Valid Texas teaching certification with endorsement in Visual Impairment (TVI)

  • Experience working with visually impaired students preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families
