Job Description:

Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments

Collaborate with general education and special education teachers to adapt curriculum
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments
-
Support students in learning Braille and the use of assistive technology
-
Travel between school sites as needed to provide direct services
-
Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
Education & Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or Visual Impairments
-
Valid Texas teaching certification with endorsement in Visual Impairment (TVI)
-
Experience working with visually impaired students preferred
-
Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families
