Temp to Perm Optometrist - Garberville, CA
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
13-Week Contract | Weekly Compensation Up to $5,600 + $1,000 Housing Stipend

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is currently partnered with a respected healthcare facility in Garberville, California, to find a passionate and experienced Optometrist for a Temp-to-Perm opportunity. This is a rare chance to step into a community-focused role with long-term potential in a beautiful Northern California setting.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential for permanent hire
  • Compensation: Up to $5,600/week based on experience
  • Housing Stipend: Additional $1,000/week

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams to evaluate vision and detect eye diseases

  • Prescribe corrective lenses, eyeglasses, and/or contact lenses

  • Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and diseases using specialized tools (Optomap, autorefractors, etc.)

  • Educate patients on eye care, visual hygiene, and treatment plans

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution

  • Valid California Optometric License required

  • TLG California Optometry License (must be obtained within six months of hire)

  • Valid TPA (Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent) license in California

  • 1–3 years of recent clinical experience preferred

  • Proficiency in using modern diagnostic equipment and electronic medical records systems
