Travel Obstetrics (OB) RN – Pearsall, TX

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)

Connected Healthcare is seeking an experienced Obstetrics RN for a travel assignment in Pearsall, TX! This role covers Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, and Mother/Baby. When there are no OB patients, the RN will float to Med Surg. If you have at least two years of OB experience and meet the qualifications below, apply today!

Job Details

• Location: Pearsall, TX
• Setting: Hospital-based
• Unit: Obstetrics (OB), including Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, and Mother/Baby
• Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Floating: Required to Med Surg when there are no OB patients
• EMR System: CPSI
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and postpartum care
• Assist with labor & delivery, fetal monitoring, and newborn care
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond to emergencies
• Perform IV insertions and administer medications as needed
• Float to Med Surg when OB patients are not present
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety regulations

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of OB experience required
• Skills: IV insertion, fetal monitoring course for basic strip interpretation
• Certifications (Required):
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN (Fetal Monitoring Certification)
• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Travel Experience: Preferred but not required
