Job Details

• Location: Mount Pleasant, TX
• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12s)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (possible extensions)
• Start Date: ASAP
• EMR System: Epic
• Housing: No facility-provided housing available, but the town has several hotels and rental options

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions
• Monitor and assess vital signs, ventilator settings, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status
• Administer medications, IV drips, and emergency interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
• Follow infection control protocols and adhere to hospital safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Active Texas RN License or Compact State License
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
• Skills:
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
