Connected Healthcare is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN for a travel night shift assignment in Pecos, Texas. - Location: Pecos, TX
- Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Must be willing to float to ER when no ICU patients are present
- Shift: Nights – 7 on / 7 off rotation (36/48 hours per week)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (possible extensions)
- Start Date: ASAP
- EMR System: Cerner
- Medication Management: Pyxis
- Scrub Color: Navy, White, or Navy Jacket (without hood)
Job Responsibilities
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients, managing ventilators, drips, and advanced monitoring equipment
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions as needed
- Monitor and assess vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status
- Float to the ER unit when there are no ICU patients in the unit
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes
- Maintain strict infection control procedures and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Active Texas RN License or Compact State License
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Certifications (Required):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Preferred Certifications:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Skills:
- Ability to work independently in a high-acuity ICU setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to float to ER when needed
