We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our client's team in Woonsocket, Rhode Island for a 13-week travel assignment. Job Description:
As a Travel Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing care to laboring mothers, assisting with childbirth, and ensuring the well-being of both the mother and newborn during delivery. You will be a critical part of a collaborative healthcare team focused on providing top-notch care.
Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor the health status of laboring patients and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and pain relief options to patients.
• Assist with deliveries, including vaginal and C-section births.
• Provide postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
• Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.
• Work in collaboration with OB/GYN, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers.
• Ensure all safety and health protocols are followed for both mother and baby.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing in the state of Rhode Island (or compact state)
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (or obtain prior to start)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
