Travel MedSurg RN – Night Shift – Pecos, TX

5/2 Rotating Schedule | Charge Experience Preferred | No Onsite Housing

Connected Healthcare is seeking a skilled and adaptable MedSurg RN for a travel assignment in Pecos, TX. This position requires night shift coverage and someone who is confident enough to step into a charge role when needed. Job Details

  • Location: Pecos, TX

  • Unit: MedSurg

  • Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

  • Schedule: 5/2 rotation

  • Two days on, two days off, five days on, five days off

  • Charge Experience: Required to assist with charge duties as needed

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Housing: Not provided – candidates must secure their own housing

    Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult MedSurg patients

  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, treatments, and medications

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care

  • Step into charge nurse responsibilities when required, ensuring smooth unit operations

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

  • Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards

    Qualifications

  • Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active Texas RN license or compact state license

  • BLS certification required

  • ACLS preferred

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg experience

  • Charge nurse experience required

  • Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
