Respiratory Therapist (Travel) - Nights Shift Available

Connected Health Care is excited to partner with a leading healthcare facility in Cedar Rapids, IA, to find a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a travel position. This is a fantastic opportunity for respiratory therapists seeking a dynamic and rewarding career with night shift availability.

Job Description:

• Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures.
• Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity and analyzing blood samples.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and effective management.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Current and valid certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) in the state of Iowa.
• NICU experience strongly desired/preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, practices, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
