Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or technical education in radiologic technology preferred
  • Certifications Requirements:
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Experience Requirements:
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP cases
    • Experience in a critical care setting (ICU, ED, etc) or previous Cath/EP Lab setting
    • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Other Requirements:
    • Active license at the time of submission
    • Must disclose previous employment with Parkland Hospital in profile
    • Proof of taxable address (e.g., driver’s license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide proficient cardiac catheterization procedures in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Maintain and operate invasive cardiac equipment, including fluoroscopy and monitor system functionalities.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team members to ensure patient safety and high-quality care during procedures.
  • Document all procedures accurately in the EMR system and ensure comprehensive record-keeping.
  • Execute timely preparation and cleanup of the cath lab, adhering to strict infection control guidelines.
