Local Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Hauppauge, NY
Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a Local Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week contract at a top healthcare facility in Hauppauge, NY.Â
Job Description:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists with instrumentation, supplies, and patient positioning.
- Monitor patient vitals and ensure sterile techniques are maintained throughout surgery.
- Prepare and maintain operating room equipment, surgical instruments, and sterile supplies.
- Document surgical procedures, patient responses, and any complications accurately.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
Schedule:
- Day shifts: Monday – Friday, 5x8s.
- No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.
Contract Details:
- 13-week contract with the possibility of extension.
- Weekly compensation up to $2,550 based on experience.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Active NY State RN License (Required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required.
