Location: Critical Access Hospital | South Dakota
Contract: 13 Weeks | Shifts: Day & Night | Schedule: 3x12s 
Pay: 2,700WK

Job Description:

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is currently seeking an experienced Travel RN – Med Surg/ED for a critical access hospital in rural South Dakota. This facility plays a vital role in the community, and they're seeking a dynamic and adaptable RN to support their mission of providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care in both Med Surg and Emergency settings

  • Triage patients and initiate appropriate nursing interventions

  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care

  • Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately

  • Respond to emergency situations using advanced critical thinking skills

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – South Dakota or Compact

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg and/or Emergency Room

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

  • TNCC, PALS, or additional certifications preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to adapt to rural/critical access environments

Contract Details:

  • 13-week assignment with potential for extension

  • Day or Night shifts available (3x12s or 4x10s)

  • Competitive travel pay + weekly stipends for housing & meals
