Local Travel Behavioral Psychology Registered Nurse – 13-Week Contract - Brattleboro, VT
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 or 48 Hours/Week
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,700 (based on experience)

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is actively seeking a skilled Behavioral Psychology Registered Nurse for a 13-week local travel assignment in Brattleboro, Vermont. This role is perfect for an experienced nurse who thrives in a behavioral health setting and is seeking a rewarding contract opportunity in a picturesque New England location.

Position Overview:
This position involves providing high-quality care in an inpatient behavioral health unit. Candidates must be flexible, reliable, and ready to float to other units as needed. Nurses will be expected to take charge shifts as scheduled and make up any missed shifts prior to the contract’s end.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a behavioral health/psychiatric setting

  • Monitor and document patient behavior, treatment progress, and any changes in mental or physical health

  • Administer prescribed medications and collaborate with mental health professionals and multidisciplinary teams

  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff

  • Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation situations

  • Provide support and education to patients and families regarding mental health care plans

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of Vermont – Required

  • AHA BLS Certification – Required

  • Minimum 5 years of total RN experience – Required

  • Recent inpatient psychiatric experience (within the last 3 months) – Required

  • LTC-only experience will not be accepted

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills

  • Willingness to float to other units and take charge when needed
